I feel that the game of Chess is very difficult to learn because it is meant only for those who are having a very high intelligence quotient. Will my child learn to play the game? |
 |
This is rather a common question for any Chess instructor, born out of non-awareness because Chess, unlike disciplines like Cricket, Football and Tennis in not a spectator sport. These games are very popular to the masses because of the wide television coverage whereas television coverage of a Chess tournament is by far and few. My answer to this question is “Dismiss your doubts”! Chess is an easy game to learn. A requirement of nothing more than an average intelligence to become a good Chess player! I would also like to quote “Chess is 90% hard work and 1% talent”!! |
