Level 1 – Chess Course for Beginners

The Level-1 Chess Course for beginners is the 1 st module designed by the Indian Chess School to introduce a student to this wonderful game of Chess. The course is basically designed for the children in the age-group of 6+. The course is spread over 12 weekend sessions of 60-minutes each, comprising of teaching chess theory to the trainees in an enjoyable way. In the latter part of the sessions, the trainees are encouraged to take a plunge into a chess game!

Level 2 – Elementary Chess Course

The Level-2 Chess Course for Elementary is the next module designed by the Indian Chess School for the trainees who have successfully completed Level-1 course. However, a trainee who has not completed the 1 st stage with ICS but desires to join this level, would be assessed by the trainer and, the admission would be granted on his recommendation. The duration of the course is similar Level-1: spread over 12 weekend sessions of 60-minutes each, comprising of teaching chess theory to the trainees in an enjoyable way.

Level 3 – Chess Course for Intermediate Players

The Level-3 Chess Course for Intermediate chess players is the 3 rd module designed by the Indian Chess School for the trainees who have successfully completed Level-2 course. However, a trainee who has not completed the 02 nd stage with ICS but desires to join this level, would be assessed by the trainer and, the admission would be granted on his recommendation. The course is spread over 24 weekend session of 60-minutes each, comprising of teaching chess theory to gain mastery in each of the segments of the game – Openings, Middle Game & the End-game. The basic aim would be to help trainees to become strong club players. For this purpose the trainees would be encouraged to participate in the Open District/Inter-School Chess tournaments.

Level 4 Chess Course for ‘Advanced’ Players

The Level-4 Chess Course for Advanced players is the final module designed by the Indian Chess School for the trainees who have successfully completed Level-3 course. However, a trainee who has not completed the 03 rd stage with ICS but desires to join this level, would be assessed by the trainer and, the admission would be granted on his recommendation. The course is spread over 52 weekend session of 90-minutes each, comprising of teaching advanced concepts to gain mastery in each of the segments of the game – Openings, Middle Game & the End-game. The basic aim would be to help trainees achieve the FIDE Ratings. For this purpose the trainees would be encouraged to participate in the State/National/FIDE Rating tournaments.
