Indian Chess School in association with Mumbai City District Chess Association (MCDCA) and Chessbase India extends invitation to players from schools (Under-15) to participate in ICS Rapid Chess Championship to be held at Cultural Centre of Russia, 31-A, Dr. G. Deshmukh Marg (Pedder Road) Mumbai - 400026 from 24 - 26 March 2017.

The special feature of this event is a key-note address by the renowned author and Grandmaster, Jacob Aagard, which is scheduled on 26 March 2017 at 06.30 pm. The GM would be talking to players on the 'Psychology & Methods of Chess Improvement'. He will dispute the notion 'WHERE THERE IS A WILL THERE IS A WAY' and will talk about how one should orient their life towards excellence in chess and in everything else.

Under - 15: Born on or after 1.1.2002 (up-to Xth Standard)

Prizes & Awards:

A total of 15 trophies (top 10-boys & 5-girls) shall be awarded in each of the 4-categories. In addition, 8 chess memorabilia shall also be awarded to the champion Boy & Girl in each category. Thus, a total of 60-trophies and 8 chess memorabilia would be awarded.

Participation/Merit Certificates:

Participation certificates shall be issued to all the players. We would also be digital merit certificates to the prize winners by download from the official website.

Maximum Entries:

A total of 200 entries (50/category) would be permitted. No spot entries are allowed.
